How the poker calculator works. The Grosvenor Casinos Poker Calculator works by using what’s known as a “Monte Carlo” algorithm. This algorithm estimates the percentage of making a hand in Texas Hold’em by simulating what would or could happen had the hand been played out multiple times.

We estimate your win rate by performing many game simulations. Essentially, it is a poker simulator for Texas Hold'em that analyzes and summarizes various outcomes. This is a technique called Monte Carlo simulation. This simulation enables us to also analyze the type of opponents' hands that can beat your hand when the shared cards (flop, turn and river) are supplied.
As for the advice on how to bet, it is based on Expected Value of the return of the game. The max bet percentage is based on the so-called Kelly citerion, which provides the optimal bet size to get the maximum return in the long run. If you want to learn more, please visit our About and FAQs page.

You may click on any valid card to move the frame there. Check 'folded hand' to indicate the given player is out of the hand, removing his cards from the remaining deck.
